ELIJAH W. THORNE
Mr. Elijah W. Thorne started Grayhound over 45 years ago. A graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, Mr. Thorne worked for years in construction and bricklaying. His determination and work ethic grew Grayhound. Often seen as a renegade, Mr. Thorne advocated for the rights of other minority trash haulers and businesses in the Prince Georges County area.
